Danish Supreme Court has not given Ukraine USSR property in Copenhagen, recognizing it as the Russian

Danish Supreme Court finally rejected on Thursday claims made by Ukraine to Russia on 10 properties in Copenhagen, Russia inherited a legacy from the Soviet Union. The process began in October 2000 when two cadastral judges – in Copenhagen and Gentofte made provisions for re-registration in Denmark real estate of the former Soviet Union to the Russian Federation, according to ITAR-TASS.
Ukraine to date claimed the portion of the property in late 2000, has appealed to the Eastern Regional Court. Ukrainian representatives have tried to prove that the Declaration Danish Foreign Ministry, which for Russia as the sole successor State, recognized the right of property, in violation of international law. However, the three judges of the court of the court after a long examination of the case did not find convincing evidence of the Ukrainian side. Danish Supreme Court on Thursday upheld the decision of the Eastern District Court.
Recall that according to official data, the property of the Russian Federation is about 4 thousands of properties in 120 countries carrying value of $ 2.7 billion. About 90% of the buildings used for the needs of our diplomatic corps. The rest are leased. At the same time, Russia earns about $ 15 million a year.
Ukraine is making the transfer of a part of the Soviet property, now owned by Russian embassies in 12 countries. In this case, Russia reminded that in 1992, the countries signed in Dagomys special document on which Moscow pledged to give Kiev separate buildings abroad for foreign needs young Ukrainian state. In particular, there is a claim on the property in Austria, Belgium, France, Switzerland, Ireland, Korea, Indonesia, Japan, Iran, and India.
